Merryls Mosaics offers a mobile service where we bring our wonderful mosaic projects to you- at your school, age care facility, or suitable venue.
Mosaics are a creative, fun, therapeutic and educational activity to introduce as part of the art curriculum for weekly classes, one off workshops, after school classes or holiday programs held as incursions or excursions. Mosaicing is suitable for ages 7 and up, and students will learn: spacial awareness- analysing the placement of pieces like solving a jigsaw puzzle, team building skills, patience, as well as experimenting with their own creative flair under the guidance of a facilitator with an artistic and gentle approach to helping children express themselves through art. Children will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of colour, shape, design and the practical requirements of making a mosaic. We have found that both boys and girls enjoy the wonderful art of mosaic.
All staff in attendance are experienced mosaicists, have experience working with children and have Working With Children Checks. Merryl’s Mosaics has appropriate insurance which can be supplied on request.

AGE CARE FACILITIES
Mosaics are a therapeutic, rewarding and achievable activity for residents, allowing them creativity and individual time for artistic expression. It’s also a great way to involve the residents in a piece of art that could can be displayed in their facility, giving residents pride in their work. The act of mosaicing is peaceful and creative, and is a lovely and social way for residents to spend their time. We have had great success in age care facilities, with residents looking forward to our visits each week and expressing extreme delight at their achievements.
Prices vary depending on the size/scope of the project. Please contact us for a discussion about the needs of your project and we will supply a tailored proposal and quotation.
